No More Sympathy For the Jaguars
Posted: December 2, 2007
The
Jaguars are my second favorite team (with the Raiders being my all time
favorite team). With that being said, some of the words that you are
about to read may not be so ladylike.
Last year it was a
problem with consistency and I said that over and over again. They
could win against teams like the Steelers and then turn around and lose
to the Texans. They have actually been looking better this season (or
at least more consistent), but they only build me up to let me down.
Reggie Williams and his idiotic penalties have got to end. In my
opinion, his stupidity cost the Jaguars the game. Reggie, you are no
Moss, T.O., Welker, Harrison, Wayne.......well, you get the point. You
are mediocre at best. At best.
I mean damn, what if I had money on that game or better still, what if
I actually am one of the few people who would like to see you and your
team in the playoffs. What the hell were you thinking? I know that
you were not thinking of your teammates and definitely not about
faithful fans such as myself.
I applaud the Jaguars defense
for their courage in rushing Manning. I know that it was a difficult
decision. Rush or cover......rush or cover.....rush or cover? I would
have gone back and forth with that one as a defensive coordinator
facing the Colts.
I also think that Garrard had a good game, but that early sack showed
his inexperience. He had more than enough time to at least throw the
ball away, but again he is inexperienced and wants to be the hero.
Freddy
T. and Jones-Drew looked good as usual. With all of the challenges
that faced the team this week, they all looked good, but I just have to
say number 11 looked like a jerk. Not that is any sort of new news,
but I only wish that number 11 would think of those faithful fans like
me. The Jaguars are the least favorite team in the league. Home games
are regularly blacked out. Although some have lost faith, I still have
hope that my Jaguars will at least get into the wild card spot. They
have shown a great team effort and drive this season (with the
exception of one), so I still love you all and hope to see you in
January.
