Brett Favre, You Will Be Missed
Posted: March 4, 2008
Well,
it is official (for today anyway). Brett Favre has decided to retire.
Each year for the past three or four offseasons I have always eagerly
awaited on the edge of my seat to find out if he would come back for
one more season. I just new that if Green Bay could snatch Randy Moss
up in free agency that Brett would be back for another round, but New
England re-signed Moss and less than 24 hours later, Favre decided to
retire.
Even when Favre was playing at his absolute worse, we
still loved him. He is the is the player who is passionate about the
game whether having the score ran up on his team or whether he is
breaking the record of Dan Marino. He plays the game with a child-like
excitement. We were blessed to have him for 17 seasons and we will
miss him, but something tells me that we will see Brett around the
league a great deal. When you love something as much as he loves
football, you can not stay away. We wish Brett the best of luck and
thank him for some great years in the league.
